Arshdeep Injury Puts Debut in Doubt, Says Ten Doeschate

Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate shared details about Arshdeep's injury, calling it “a bit serious”:

“Arshdeep took a ball while he was bowling there. Sai hit a ball, and he tried to stop it, but it was just a cut. So we have to see how bad the cut is. Bumrah Likely to Return for Must-Win Manchester Test, Hints Ten Doeschate

Meanwhile, Ten Doeschate hinted at Bumrah’s likely inclusion in the crucial Manchester Test:

“We’ll make that call in Manchester. We know we’ve got him for one of the last two Tests. I think it’s pretty obvious the series is on the line now in Manchester, so there will be a leaning towards playing him,” he said.

India, who trail the series 2-1, have never won a Test at Old Trafford in Manchester. With momentum currently favoring England, India will need to deliver their best to avoid crumbling under pressure. Bumrah’s presence is expected to boost the morale of a young team that suffered a narrow defeat at Lord’s.
