The Duleep Trophy 2025 will kick off BCCI’s official domestic season from August 28 to September 15. The tournament will return to its traditional zonal format after the selectors chose the four-team setup directly last year.

Under the new format, teams will compete for their respective zones, namely, North Zone, South Zone, East Zone, West Zone, Central Zone, and North East Zone.

East Zone will take on North Zone in the first quarter-final, while the second quarter-final will be played between the Central Zone and the North East Zone. Both matches will be played at the BCCI Centre Of Excellence Ground in Bengaluru.
